Confirmation of entries for Jamaica’s Timothy Stewart and local ace Rhett Watson in round four of the Swift Cup at Bushy Park Barbados carries past 50 the number of drivers who have participated in the Suzuki Challenge Series since its launch last March. This weekend’s (September 3/4) action is part of the Williams Digicel International Race Meet, featuring the Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC).

CMRC debut for T&T’s Bridget Singh at Bushy Park Barbados

Trinidad & Tobago’s Bridget Singh will make her Bushy Park Barbados debut at this weekend’s (September 3/4) Williams Digicel International Race Meet in round three of the 2016 Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC). A five-time Kart Champion, she is the daughter of regional veteran Ravi Singh, who will also make his race debut at the redeveloped circuit.

PANTON AND FENNELL WIN SUMMER NIGHTS RALLY

Jamaica’s Jeff Panton and Mike Fennell (Rubis / Sandals Barbados / KIG Ford Focus WRC06) won the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Summer Nights Rally on Saturday (August 27), continuing this year’s impressive run of success in island events. It was also their second consecutive victory in the annual day/night event, which brought spectators out in their numbers to three venues across the island.

PANTON AND SKEETE HEAD INTO BATTLE ONCE AGAIN

Team Barbados gets ready for Williams Digicel International

Team Barbados is targeting a maximum points haul in the home round of the 2016 Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) to move up the Country Championship standings. Round three of the CMRC is the headline event at the Williams Digicel International Race Meet next month (September 3/4) at Bushy Park Barbados.

SOL RALLY BARBADOS 2017 DATES ANNOUNCED

The Barbados Rally Club (BRC), which will celebrate its 60th Anniversary next year, has today (August 22) announced the dates for next year’s edition of its premier event: Sol Rally Barbados 2017 will run from Friday to Sunday, June 2-4, with Scrutineering and Flow King of the Hill the previous weekend, May 27/28. On-line entries will open on the official web site - www.rallybarbados.net – on October 1.

BRC TITLE-CHASERS PREPARE FOR CRUCIAL EVENT

Island fans have much to look forward to on Saturday, August 27, when the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Summer Nights Rally will run from early afternoon into the night. CMRC Bike Bonanza at Williams Digicel International

Bike racing fans are set for a bonanza weekend at the Williams Digicel International Race Meet next month (September 3/4), when Bushy Park Barbados hosts round three of the 2016 Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC). Lap record-holder Brook Miller will lead Team Barbados against a record regional entry, with seven of the top 10 points-scorers in the CMRC Superstock Championship confirmed.

All roads lead to Bushy Park Barbados next month, when the cream of the region’s motor sport stars will face off in the Williams Digicel International Race Meet (September 3/4). Round three of the 2016 Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) is the headline event of an action-packed schedule, with approaching 10 hours of track activity on Sunday alone.

Dropped scores and August ‘bonus’ will play their part

As competitors enjoy the summer break before their next event at the end of the month (August 27), the battle for the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) Driver’s and Class Championships is shaping up nicely. With five of eight rounds run, the top five in the Champion Driver standings are covered by just 14 points, a total which falls to nine - and includes some different names - if dropped scores are considered, while the extra points on offer in the next event will add further spice to the title fight.
