SIMPSON MOTORS SUZUKI SX4 WRC TEAM TAKES BREAK FROM REGIONAL MOTOR SPORT
Since its outstanding debut performance at Rally Jamaica in 2010, the Simpson Motors Suzuki SX4 WRC has racked up a string of impressive results initially in the hands of experienced driver Sean Gill and more recently from rising regional star Neil Armstrong. Numerous top results at events in Jamaica, Barbados, a memorable overall win on the 2014 edition of Rally Trinidad and a recent stunning performance in Martinique has guaranteed that this remarkable clean-sheet development exercise carried out by this Barbados based team in conjunction with MML sports in the UK has been a rallying front runner in the Caribbean for the last four years.
The Simpson Motors Suzuki SX4 WRC Team has always competed with total commitment from the drivers, engineers, support staff and of course sponsors who have made it collectively possible to achieve the success the Team has had to date.
With this singular attitude towards commitment and performance without compromise, and in light of the severe economic challenges being faced in the Caribbean, The Team has had to take the decision to suspend further involvement in the Motorsport calendar for the balance of the year.
“We feel so blessed to have benefitted from the support of everyone - particularly our sponsors and the fans - and trust that our performances have been as memorable and exciting for you as they have been for us. Let’s see what develops for next season.”
