JOHNSON BROTHERS WIN NASSCO NOVEMBER SAFARI

Damien and Brandon Johnson (Western Union Suzuki Samurai) won the fifth and final round of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Chefette MudDogs Safari & Safari Novice Championships on Sunday (November 8). As the Reigning Novice Champions claimed their first overall victory in the Nassco November Safari, third place was sufficient to clinch third consecutive MudDogs titles for Leslie Alleyne and Chris O'Neal as Driver and Navigator respectively.

NASSCO NOVEMBER SAFARI TO SETTLE THE SEASON

Nassco is sponsoring the fifth and final round of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Chefette MudDogs Safari & Safari Novice Championships, which runs off this Sunday (November 8) in the central and northern parishes. The local Toyota dealer’s support for the BRC’s off-roaders is now in its eighth consecutive year.

Managing Director Roger Hill said: “Nassco Ltd is once again delighted to be supporting the MudDogs by sponsoring the Nassco November Safari. We hope that all the teams will have a challenging but enjoyable rally and wish them the best of luck."

ENTRIES FLOW IN FOR SOL RALLY BARBADOS 2016

In just over four weeks since on-line entries opened on October 1 on the official web site – www.rallybarbados.net – 40 crews have already posted their intention to compete in Sol Rally Barbados 2016. Having celebrated the 25th Anniversary of its premier event this year, the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) has announced that Sol RB16 will run from June 3 to 5, with Scrutineering and King of the Hill on May 28/29.

Summerbell and Maloney inaugural Suzuki Champions

David Summerbell Jnr and Sean Maloney are Champions of the Swift Cup and SR3 Cup respectively. Each left the best until last, having sat in third place going into the final double-header at Bushy Park Barbados on Saturday (October 17), as the Summer Season of the inaugural Suzuki Challenge Series came to a dramatic floodlit conclusion.

Preparations in high gear for BPMSI Floodlit Finale

Engineers and mechanics in race shops across the island are making last-minute preparations for tomorrow’s (Saturday) Floodlit Finale to Bushy Park Motor Sports Inc’s 2015 Championship. The 23-race programme at the St Philip facility will also include a demanding six-race double-header bringing the inaugural Summer Season of the Suzuki Challenge Series to a close.

WATSON WINS SECOND TITLE AFTER MORNING SCARE

Rhett Watson yesterday (Sunday) became the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Champion Driver title for the second year in a row, with two final class wins in the double-header Winter Sprint in St Lucy. The first driver to win back-to-back titles for more than 20 years - Derek Roach was the last, in 1991-‘92 - he maintained his perfect record of class wins, but he had started the day very much on the back foot.

All change for BPMSI Floodlit Finale at Bushy Park Barbados

Following Tuesday’s announcement that Bushy Park Motor Sports Inc’s (BPMSI) 2015 Championship will climax in a Floodlit Finale at Bushy Park Barbados next Saturday (October 17), an even more comprehensive shake-up of the traditional race meet format has now been confirmed, offering fans 10 hours of almost non-stop action.

RALLY CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TO BE SETTLED SUNDAY

Seven months after it started, the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) 2015 Championship will be settled on Sunday (October 11) at the double-header Winter Sprint at Lamberts to Josey Hill - and back - in St Lucy. Twenty-five drivers are confirmed in the running order published today (Friday), including all the leading contenders in the chase for the sought-after Champion Driver title.
