BCU joins BPMSI & BADD at Bushy Park for island first

The Barbados Cycling Union (BCU) will join forces with Bushy Park Motor Sport Inc (BPMSI) and the Barbados Association of Dragsters & Drifters (BADD) at Bushy Park Barbados on Sunday (March 26) to stage the island’s first-ever combined event for horsepower and pedal-power. Circuit Acclimatisation will be followed by two 20-minute Handicap Races, interspersed with the existing track racing and drag strip activity.

Bushy Park hosts 2017 curtain-raiser for BPMSI & BADD

Bushy Park Motor Sport Inc (BPMSI) and the Barbados Association of Dragsters & Drifters (BADD) will share Bushy Park Barbados on Sunday, March 26, to launch their respective Championship seasons. Track and drag strip activity will alternate during a 10-hour programme, as drivers seek to open their 2017 accounts.

Jeffrey thrives on pressure at Radical International

Two-time Caribbean Motor Racing Champion, Guyana’s Kristian Jeffrey, is benefitting from lessons learned in the tough competition arena of January’s Radical International at Bushy Park Barbados, where he won four of the weekend’s six races to be crowned Suzuki Challenge Series SR3 Winter Cup Champion. The weekend produced the closest and most dramatic racing yet seen among the Suzuki-powered Radicals, with less than a second covering each driver’s fastest lap.

Esuf and Wood win Suzuki Challenge Series titles

 Sol Esuf and Ryan Wood were crowned Champions of the SR3 Cup and Swift Cup respectively when the second Suzuki Challenge Series drew to a close during Radical International (January 28/29) at Bushy Park Barbados. Each driver had won his Summer Series title by a sufficient margin to claim the overall crown, despite failing to prevail in last weekend’s Winter Cup.

FIVE NATIONS FOR SUZUKI CHALLENGE SERIES FINAL

Suzuki Challenge Summer Series Champions Suleman Esuf (SR3 Cup) and Ryan Wood (Swift Cup) head to Bushy Park Barbados this weekend (January 28/29) for the Winter Cup determined to continue where they left off in October. They will have their work cut out, however, as Radical International 2017 plays host to competitors from five nations, all keen to make their mark.

Radical International marks 20th Anniversary for UK firm

The first overseas entries for the second edition of Radical International (January 28/29) have completed their 10-day trans-Atlantic voyage from the UK to the Caribbean, which started at Radical Sportscars headquarters in the East Midlands city of Peterborough. Organised by Bushy Park Motor Sport Inc (BPMSI), Radical International this year coincides with the British race and road car manufacturer’s 20th Anniversary and will launch the 2017 season at Bushy Park Barbados.

Bushy Park Motor Sports Inc celebrates its 2016 Champions

Members of Bushy Park Motor Sports Inc (BPMSI) gathered in the Cafeteria at Bushy Park Barbados last evening (Saturday) to celebrate the Club’s 2016 Champions. Champion Driver and Champion Rider respectively, Geoff Ullyett and Brook Miller, emerged victorious from the nearly 90 competitors on two and four wheels who scored points in BPMSI-administered Championships, many of whom headed to St Philip to join in the celebrations.

Team Barbados heads to South Dakota for CMRC Final

A seven-car team from Bushy Park Motor Sports Inc (BPMSI) will see action at South Dakota in Guyana this weekend (November 12/13), as the 2016 Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) reaches its fourth and final round. Three 40ft containers loaded in the Bushy Park Barbados pits before the weekend were scheduled to land in Guyana today (Wednesday).

Esuf and Wood Suzuki Challenge Series Summer Champions

Suleman Esuf and Ryan Wood were crowned Suzuki Challenge Summer Series SR3 Cup and Swift Cup Champion respectively, as the curtain came down on the second Summer Series. Racing under floodlights, occasional showers and the pressure of four races in one day made Sunday’s (October 30) Day/Night Race Meet at Bushy Park Barbados a fitting conclusion to this season’s events, with the Winter Cup to follow early next year.

Earlier date for Barbados Festival of Speed 2017

Following the success of the inaugural Barbados Festival of Speed in May 2016, Bushy Park Circuit Inc (BPCI) has confirmed Saturday, February 4, as the date for BFoS 2017. While no details of the planned content have yet been revealed, the one-day event will next year run from day into night, promising a whole new experience for spectators.
