Suzuki Challenge Series is Go! this weekend

Two exciting new one-make circuit racing championships that look set to revolutionise regional motor sport – the Suzuki Challenge Series – were introduced to the media today (Thursday) at Bushy Park Barbados, ahead of the inaugural races at this weekend’s (March 28/29) Valvoline Glassesco John ‘Tiny’ Harrison Memorial Race Meet.

Terry Grant doubles up for ‘Tiny’ Harrison Race Meet

Legendary British stunt driver Terry Grant will return to Bushy Park Barbados, where he achieved his 20th Guinness World Record last December, for the Valvoline Glassesco John 'Tiny' Harrison Memorial Race Meet on March 28/29 . . . and island fans will enjoy a double dose of thrills, as he will be partnered by the UK’s Number 1 stunt bike rider and European Champion, Lee Bowers.

‘JAWS OF LIFE’ DONATED TO ISLAND MOTOR SPORT

A collaboration between the Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF), two British safety experts and the organisers of last year’s Race Of Champions at Bushy Park has resulted in a valuable legacy for island motor sport – the donation of specialist ‘Jaws of Life’ equipment, which will be available to all BMF Member Clubs and deployed for the first time at next Sunday’s (March 15) Motoring Club of Barbados Inc Spring Blaze

Valvoline and Glassesco back ‘Tiny’ Harrison Race Meet

Bushy Park Motor Sports Inc (BPMSI) will launch its 2015 season with the Valvoline Glassesco John 'Tiny' Harrison Memorial Race Meet at the St Philip facility on the weekend of March 28/29. With $15,000 in prize money at stake and a new viewing area – the 4 x 4 Hammer Zone – competitors and spectators alike will be winners.

Record-breaking 2015 motor sport season for Barbados

The opening round of the Barbados Karting Association’s (BKA) Frutee Championship at Bushy Park last Sunday (February 8) launched what promises to be a bumper season of island motor sport, with a record-breaking programme of events scheduled to be run under the umbrella of the Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF).

Radical Driving Experiences launched

Radical Driving Experiences, the first of a wide range of opportunities that will be available to enjoy the thrill of lapping Bushy Park Barbados, are already under way. These include passenger rides in a Suzuki-powered Radical SR3 with an experienced race driver, the chance to drive the two-seater open-topped sports car with an instructor in the passenger seat and, once you have reached the necessary criteria, the chance to lap the circuit ‘flying solo’. If required, catering can be provided during your visit, and you will also receive some mementoes.

First Luxury Car Suites completed

The first of the five planned clusters of Luxury Car Suites, situated overlooking the Banks Esses and Sesash Hairpin, was completed in time for use as the Driver’s Lounge over Race Of Champions weekend last December.

Four rounds confirmed for Seaboard Marine CMRC 2015

The Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) will be fought out over four rounds for the first time in 2015. Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago will each host a round of the premier regional championship, with Seaboard Marine confirmed as title sponsor for the sixth year.
