Stuart Maloney wins inaugural Radical Caribbean SR3 Cup

Barbadian Stuart Maloney has won the new-for-2018 Radical Caribbean SR3 Cup, title success a long time coming for the only driver to have contested all 73 SR3 Cup races since March 2014. Despite finishing only one of last Sunday’s (November 11) three races at South Dakota in Guyana, he had a sufficient advantage to hold off his brother Mark and Trinidad & Tobago teenager Isa Deen in the three-way showdown to become the first regional Champion.

Two wins each for Gale and Maloney in Suzuki Challenge Series

Barry Gale and Stuart Maloney were the big winners in the second round of the Suzuki Challenge Series at Bushy Park Barbados on Saturday (July 1), each claiming two victories, as regular rain showers throughout the afternoon created challenging track conditions. Gale is the new leader of the Swift Cup, while Maloney has reduced Suleman Esuf’s SR3 Cup lead to just eight points.

Strong UK results prepare Stuart Maloney for SR3 Cup return

Nine-time SR3 Cup race-winner Stuart Maloney heads into round two of the third Suzuki Challenge Series at Bushy Park Barbados on Saturday (July 1) off the back of a string of impressive results in the UK Radical Challenge Championship. Two third places were the highlights of a six-race programme that saw him finish outside the top 10 only once over back-to-back weekends of racing at Silverstone and Rockingham.

Spring Blaze News: Ian Warren in huge crash, Maloney's engine gone on first event

While official results are being confirmed, the news from the event centres around Ian 'Wee Wee' Warren's nightmare crash in the second-half of the event. Running from Blackman's to Tappy Pond and locked in an epic battle with Josh Read, Ian Warren drifted slightly wide in his Suzuki Swift and cut down a telegraph pole at the side of the road.

There is a video on Facebook of the actual accident.

Maloney's new Peugot 306

Photos posted to Facebook and by Zhaust show a new arrival in Barbados - a works Peugot 306 Maxi. Arriving by air, courtesy of Virgin Atlantic, this is surely destined for the Maloney camp. This will make quite an interesting addition to the already hard-fought Super-Modified 10 (or will it be 11?) class.
