Bushy Park invests in competitors, spectators and volunteers

Bushy Park Circuit Inc (BPCI) is continuing its phased investment programme at the St Philip facility for the benefit of competitors, spectators and volunteers. The most recent enhancements will come on stream for the first time at the Williams Industries Digicel International Race Meet (September 12/13), featuring round three of the Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC).

The 2015 Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) is heading for Bushy Park Barbados next month with one of the most competitive line-ups ever assembled and, according to one former race-winner, the prospect of a far more level playing-field for two- and four-wheel-drive cars.

Williams Digicel International hosts CMRC at Bushy Park Barbados

The cream of the region’s motor sport stars are preparing for Bushy Park Barbados next month, when the circuit hosts the Williams Industries Digicel International Race Meet (September 12/13). Round three of the 2015 Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) is the headline event of an action-packed schedule, with approaching 12 hours of track activity on Sunday alone.

Three new winners in Suzuki Challenge Series

Three new winners joined the Suzuki Challenge Series roll of honour, as the competition intensified in round three at Bushy Park Barbados yesterday (June 14). In the Swift Cup, Barry Gale and Jamaica’s David Summerbell Jnr brought the number of race-winners to five in the first nine races, while Guyana’s Mark Vieira finally broke the Maloney family’s stranglehold on the top step of the podium in the SR3 Cup.

Rally stars to face off in Suzuki Challenge Series

Paul ‘Surfer’ Bourne and Roger ‘The Sheriff’ Skeete will transfer their age-old rivalry from rally stage to racetrack on Sunday (June 14) when they compete in round three of the Suzuki Challenge Series at Bushy Park Barbados. While the two former Rally Barbados winners will contest the Swift Cup, Martinique’s Simon Jean-Joseph, who finished second in this year’s 25th Anniversary event two weeks ago, will make his circuit-racing debut in a Suzuki-powered Radical in the SR3 Cup.

New leaders after Suzuki Challenge Series round two

With two race wins apiece, Ryan Peyrau (Trinidad & Tobago) and Stuart Maloney (Barbados) are the new leaders of the Swift Cup and SR3 Cup, following yesterday’s (May 17) second round of the Suzuki Challenge Series at Bushy Park Barbados. The Swift Cup has now risen to a 12-car grid, while both entry lists included new names.
