Members of the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) enjoyed an up-beat Annual General Meeting at Kendall Sporting on Wednesday night (February 16), with confirmation of unprecedented levels of sponsorship for the Club's 2005 championships, and news of a return to profit for Rally Barbados.
In stark contrast to last year's AGM, at which a number of senior members pressed the committee of management for reassurances that the Club's financial position was sound, Wednesday's meeting was extremely positive.

Virgin Atlantic is to sponsor the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) Driver's Championship in 2005. The club's competition season is slated to get under way this Sunday (February 20) with a loose-surface speed event, heralding an unexpected return to the Black Bess Plantation in St Peter.

Kenney Croney leads the Navigators’ championship by 12 points from Anna-Lee Alleyne, while Derek Gill heads the Drivers’ points table with 45 points, chased by Croney’s driver Philip McConney, who has 36 points.
