Caterham Caribbean Cup returns to Bushy Park

Bushy Park Barbados will host the second Caterham Caribbean Cup next December, bringing the British sports car manufacturer’s special brand of wheel-to-wheel racing back to the island. The date is set for December 5/6 and will complete the St Philip facility’s 2025 season.

Costin-Hurley flies flag for BCIC RB25 at Rallylegend

Rally Barbados regular Andrew Costin-Hurley was among more than 60 entries in the 'Legend Stars' category at last weekend’s (October 10-13) Rallylegend 2024 in San Marino. Ahead of his 20th trip to compete in the island next year, the British driver carried decals to promote BCIC RB25 prominently displayed on the front three-quarters of his unique Ford Puma Cosworth.

Barbados selects Hinkson for FIA Esports Games

Mark-Anthony Hinkson will represent Barbados in the third edition of the FIA Motorsport Games in Spain (October 23-27), where more than 650 participants will vie for gold, silver and bronze medals in the style of the Olympics. The Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF) confirmed today (Thursday) that 23-year-old Hinkson will compete in both Esports disciplines, GT and F4, giving the island a presence at the Games for the second time.

Maloney delivers BMF World Championship aim

Zane Maloney’s signing by the Lola Yamaha ABT team for its first season in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship has been applauded by the Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF). The 20-year-old’s promotion from the FIA Formula 2 Championship, confirmed earlier this week, has delivered on one of the BMF’s stated aims - to have a Barbadian driver competing in a World Championship.

BMF publishes Environmental Code of Practice

The Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF) has this week published an Environmental Code of Practice as it positions itself at the forefront of environmental awareness and protection in island motor sport. The 23-page document was ratified at the BMF’s Annual General Assembly on Wednesday evening (September 25), which was attended by representatives of all the Federation’s nine Member Clubs.

Entries open for BCIC Rally Barbados 2025

The Barbados Rally Club (BRC) is stepping up preparations for next year’s 35th edition of its premier event by returning to its traditional date for opening entries. The entry form for BCIC Rally Barbados 2025 will go live on the official web site - www.rallybarbados.net – at noon local time on Tuesday, October 1, 5.00pm in the UK and Ireland; the entry window will close in mid-April 2025.

First MudDogs win for Parravicino in “fantastic” event

Simon Parravicino and Andrew Croney won Sunday’s (September 15) Super S September Safari, an event described as “fantastic” by first-time winner Parravicino. Recent weather patterns had created ideal conditions for the 4x4 off-road fraternity to enjoy the penultimate round of the Chefette MudDogs Safari Championship.

Watson wins, Read extends Rally2 points lead

Logan Watson claimed his first win in the Barbados Rally2 Championship sponsored by CIBC Caribbean and Ace H & B Hardware on Saturday (September 14). By finishing second overall in the MCBI Rally of the Sun & Stars to Mark Maloney, who is not registered for points, Watson jumps to third in the Barbados Motoring Federation-administered championship with three rounds remaining.
