Double-headers lay groundwork for BCIC RB25

After the four-month winter break, island fans are ready for this weekend’s start to the new season, looking for early signs of form ahead of BCIC Rally Barbados 2025. As drivers fly in from Britain, the United States and around the region for two double-header speed events, the dominant FIA R5 class will see some changes, notably America’s George Sherman revealed as the new owner of the Skoda Fabia Rally2 evo formerly driven by Zane Maloney and Logan Watson.

Unique chance for karters to race against Zane Maloney

The chance to race against ABB Formula E World Championship driver Zane Maloney and experience sitting with him for some fast laps around Bushy Park are among the prizes on offer in a new karting competition at the St Philip facility, where 'The Boy from Barbados' took his first steps on the motor racing ladder.

Popular UK rally presenter back for BCIC RB25

Paul Woodford, whose informed commentary on British rallying has generated a huge following among competitors and fans alike, is to return to BCIC Rally Barbados for a second time. Confirmation of his trip follows a working weekend at the East Riding Stages Rally (February 23) in his home county of Yorkshire, which was contested by more than 30 past or future participants in the island’s premier event.

Alleyne, O’Neal back on winning form in March Safari

Leslie Alleyne and Chris O’Neal returned to winning ways in Sunday’s (March 2) March Safari, the first of five rounds of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) 2025 Chefette MudDogs Safari Championship which will test the skills of the Club’s off-road navigational rallying fraternity between now and November.

Scott inspires Scottish newcomers to try BCIC RB25

Fresh from winning the Knockhill Stages (February 16), then a strong finish in round one of the British Rally Championship in Yorkshire last weekend, former Scottish Rally Champion Peter Stewart has posted his entry for BCIC Rally Barbados 2025. He is one of three newcomers from Scotland confirmed today (February 28) who were persuaded to commit to the event by Andy Scott, who returns for the sixth time this year.

March Safari starts new MudDogs season on Sunday

Four months after winning the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) 2024 Chefette MudDogs Safari Championship, Simon Parravicino and Andrew Croney start their title defence on Sunday (March 2). The BRC March Safari is the first of five rounds which will test the skills of the Club’s navigational rallying fraternity between now and November.

Birthday celebration for UK’s Gibson at BCIC RB25

Two-time UK regional rally champion Dan Gibson is to mark his 50th birthday next Thursday (February 27) by entering his one-of-a-kind Clan Crusader rally car in BCIC Rally Barbados 2025. His 52-year-old car, the only Clan granted a Motorsport UK Historic Passport, will face off against the Hillman Imp of returning Irishman Mick Smith in the island’s Historic 1 class.

Six Nations line up for Modified 4 in BCIC RB25

With more than 30 trips to compete in the island already behind them, four drivers from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales will bring a true international flavour to the Modified 4 class in BCIC Rally Barbados 2025. With local and regional drivers already in the mix, this four-wheel-drive class is set to be better supported than in recent years.

BMF, BADD back regional drag racing championship

The Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF) and the Barbados Association of Dragsters & Drifters (BADD) are partners in a ground-breaking initiative which will pit the island’s best drag racers against their peers from Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago. The Caribbean Drag Racing Championship (CDRC) will kick off this Sunday (February 16) at Bushy Park Barbados and in Guyana.

Huge interest from home and abroad in BCIC RB25

BCIC Rally Barbados 2025 is attracting unprecedented levels of interest, with provisional on-line entries passing the 100 mark this week, two months earlier than last year. BCIC RB24 broke a handful of records, including the number of starters (100) and finishers (67) and organisers are looking forward to another bumper year.
