Partner Profiles
Barbados Motoring Federation
Affiliated to the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), which rules the sport worldwide, the Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF) is the island’s governing body for motor sport; it also represents the interests of its Member Clubs in discussions with Government departments which facilitate the sport in the island, in particular the Ministry of Transport, Works & Maintenance, which permits road closures for an agreed number of events each year. Away from motor sport, the BMF affiliate which answers the FIA Mobility remit is the Barbados Automobile Association (BAA), which is an executive committee member of the Government’s Barbados Road Safety Council.
First Citizens Group
Established in 1993, the First Citizens Group is one of the leading financial services Groups in the Eastern Caribbean with a footprint in Barbados, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Costa Rica and its flagship location, Trinidad and Tobago. The Group, which was voted 2021 Bank of the Year Trinidad and Tobago by LatinFinance and The Banker Magazine, is also a proud contributor to the people and communities that it serves, through the work of its First Citizens Foundation which invests extensively in a range of initiatives, under its corporate social responsibility pillars of Sport, Youth Development and Education, Gender, Culture and the Environment.
Be Social Group
Be Social, trading under the Be Media Group Inc holding company, is a Barbadian full-service digital marketing agency. We craft beautifully useful marketing, experiences and digital products that grow businesses. We have one goal - to develop sustainable relationships between our clients and their customers. By creating engaging and highly imaginative campaigns, applications and platforms, we help brands become a seamless part of their audiences’ everyday lives.
Caribbean Sim Motorsport
Caribbean Sim Motorsport became affiliated to the BMF in 2021. Based in Barbados, CSM’s goal is to be a low cost, albeit very competitive, avenue for the average person to compete in motor sport. Digital motor sport offers considerable flexibility as it relates to the many disciplines and events that can be organised. Notwithstanding its ‘virtual’ nature, it is important to make this form of motor sport as competitive and as well-organised as the ‘real thing'. CSM certainly envisages its platform as a next step to real-world competitive motor sport, which is a key factor in its overall approach.
