Jamaica’s Jeffrey Panton, winner of Sol Rally Barbados 2015, and local rallying legend Roger Skeete, who has won 13 times in the event’s 26-year history, were both confirmed today (April 8) for this year’s edition of the Caribbean’s biggest annual motor sport International, which will run from Friday to Sunday, June 3-5.

Sunoco Race Fuels is the new sponsor of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) forthcoming Shakedown Stages (Sunday, April 24), as local distributor Automotive Art introduces its newest brand to the market and reinforces its more than 25-year commitment to the Club and to island motor sport.

Competing in Sol Rally Barbados has been on English electrician and clubman rally driver Stuart Austin’s bucket list for years . . . and he will finally make the trip in 2016. A member of the UK’s Southern Car Club (SCC), he had learned of the event through the promotions organised by the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) at Rallye Sunseeker, organised by SCC for three decades.
