ALLEYNE AND O’NEAL WIN MUDDOGS SEPTEMBER SAFARI

Leslie Alleyne and Chris O'Neal won Sunday’s (September 20) MudDogs September Safari in the Simpson Motors/Shell Spirax/Shell Rimula/Maxxis Isuzu D-Max, easing ahead in the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Chefette MudDogs Safari Championship. While recent weather patterns had created a good degree of mud, Sunday’s heavy rains fell mostly on the west of the island, while the MudDogs were on the east coast, so had little further effect.

WEATHER PATTERNS PROMISE CHALLENGING SAFARI

Sunday’s (September 20) MudDogs September Safari promises to be a truly challenging event for the crews contesting the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Chefette MudDogs Safari & Safari Novice Championships, if the recent heavy rains return in the coming days, as is forecast. It is round four of five in the 2015 calendar, which draws to a close in November.

MUD DOGS PREPARE FOR SEPTEMBER SAFARI

After a break of more than two months since the Sol Go Further June Safari, competitors in the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) 2015 Chefette MudDogs Safari & Safari Novice Championships are making ready for round four, the MudDogs September Safari on Sunday, September 20.

‘MUD-NIFICENT SEVEN’ BREAKS NEW RECORD

Victory for Leslie Alleyne in last weekend’s Sol Go Further June Safari (June 27/28) has inscribed his name in the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) record books yet again. His seventh victory not only moved him one ahead of fellow ‘June’ veteran Wayne Clarke, but also carried him back 25 years, to his first appearance on the BRC’s longest-running event.

ALLEYNE AND CLARK CHASE RECORD SEVENTH

Navigational rally veterans Leslie Alleyne and Wayne Clarke will go head-to-head in next weekend’s Sol Go Further June Safari (June 27/28), each hoping to extend his record-breaking run of wins in the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) longest-running event. With victory last year, Alleyne joined Clarke on six wins, two more than anyone else on the 69-strong list of previous winners.

ALLEYNE AND O’NEAL WIN APRIL SAFARI

Reigning Champions Leslie Alleyne and Chris O’Neal returned to winners’ row for the first time since last June at the weekend (Saturday, April 11), when they won round two of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Chefette MudDogs Safari Championship in the Simpson Motors/Shell Spirax/Shell Rimula/Maxxis Isuzu D-Max.

MUDDOGS MAKE READY FOR APRIL SAFARI

Derek Gill and Andrew Croney in the Insurance Brokers & Solutions Inc Mitsubishi Pajero will lead the Pro field off in Saturday’s (April 11) April Safari, round two of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Chefette MudDogs Safari & Safari Novice Championships. Runners-up in last year Championship, they started the season well with victory in last month’s opening round.

GILL AND CRONEY WIN MUDDOGS MARCH SAFARI

Having lost out by the narrowest of margins in a close fight for last year’s Chefette MudDogs Safari Championship, Derek Gill and Andrew Croney (Insurance Brokers & Solutions Inc Mitsubishi Pajero) kicked off their 2015 campaign in fine style last Sunday (March 8) with victory in the season’s opening event, the March Safari, which had been postponed by a week.

BARBADOS RALLY CLUB TRUE TO CORE VALUES IN 2014

The core values of the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) served the island’s oldest motor sport organisation well during 2014, which Chairman Mark Hamilton described as “an interesting year” in his annual report at last night’s (Thursday) AGM at the Barbados Clay Target Shooting Association (BCTSA) Clubhouse at Searles, Christ Church.
