GEEST FREIGHTER SETS SAIL FOR SOL RALLY BARBADOS

The Geest Line freighter Klipper Stream set sail from Portsmouth in the UK on Tuesday (April 22), carrying more than 30 rally cars heading or Sol Rally Barbados 2015 (May 29-31), which marks the 25th Anniversary of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) premier event; it is due to dock at Bridgetown Port in just over a week.

Quite possibly unaware of the motorsport connotations to their 1977 song 'Night Rally', Elvis Costello and the Attractions were spot-on with its title. No matter that the song was about mass meetings promoting fascism, violence and fear; the relevance of some of the song's lyric to night rallying is so apt:

'You think they're so dumb, you think they're so funny. Wait until they've got you running to the. . . night rally, night rally.'

Bushy Park Barbados launches Karting Experience

Bushy Park Barbados welcomed the first participants for its new Karting Experience at the weekend, as part of an on-going programme to develop an ever-broader range of circuit activities on offer to regular competitors, the wider community and visitors to the island. Approximately 100 people turned up to drive the recently-imported Birel karts on a purpose-built track in sessions on Saturday and Sunday.

THREE-WAY TIE IN CHAMPION DRIVER TITLE CHASE
