Jeffrey and Guyana lead Radical Caribbean Cup

Kristian Jeffrey of Guyana is the early leader of the 2022 Radical Caribbean Cup (RCC) after winning twice in the opening round at Bushy Park Barbados yesterday (July 10). Chief Instructor at the St Philip facility Justin Campbell was the other race winner, while Trinidad & Tobago’s Kristian Boodoosingh claimed three podium finishes in the tightest start yet for the regional series.

Maloney sets record, Walcott scores well as Bushy Park returns

A new Radical SR3 Qualifying Record set by Zane Maloney and good haul of points for Reigning Champion Andre Walcott in Bushy Park Motor Sports Inc’s (BPMSI) Group 1, the best-subscribed class of the day, were among the highlights of Sunday’s (August 30) VP Fuel Sales & Rock Hard Cement Race Meet. With the 1.28-kilometre National Circuit in use and Covid-19 safety protocols in place, a good turn-out of fans in the Clubhouse enjoyed an ideal vantage point with the entire lap in clear view.

Record-breaking Zane Maloney leads Radical Caribbean Cup

After two Free Practice sessions, Qualifying began without Trinidad & Tobago’s Zachary Boodram, whose car had developed engine problems which left him on the sidelines for the day. Mark Maloney was the first to complete a flying lap of 61.780s before 16-year-old Zane punched in the first sub-60s lap, then chipped away as the 10-minute session ran its course, breaking the Qualifying Record for a third time with an eventual 57.660s, more than half-a-second better than the previous mark set by his father Sean in 2018.

Zane Maloney thrills his home crowd on SR3 Cup debut

Taking a break from his F4 British Championship campaign, Zane Maloney thrilled the fans on The Hill at Bushy Park Barbados with a sensational debut in the Radical Caribbean SR3 Cup (RCC), racing a car for the first time on his home track. During the Williams Industries International Race Meet (August 31/September 1), the 15-year-old claimed Pole Position in Saturday Qualifying, then won all three races on Sunday, clocking the fastest lap in the first two.

Sean Maloney takes over regional SR3 Cup lead

Former Champion Sean Maloney of Barbados has assumed the lead of the Radical Caribbean SR3 Cup (RCC), following a dramatic day of changing fortunes in round two at Bushy Park Barbados on Monday (June 10). He shared the race wins with brother Stuart, the reigning RCC Champion, and Trinidad & Tobago’s Kristian Boodoosingh, while two more podium finishes for Jamaica’s Williams Myers keep the title fight wide open, which just a 13-point difference from first to fourth.

Maloney aiming to build Radical Caribbean SR3 Cup lead

Early points leader Mark Maloney will be looking to increase his advantage in the 2019 Radical Caribbean SR3 Cup when round two runs off at Bushy Park Barbados on Bank Holiday Monday (June 10). With two race wins and a second place from the opening round in April, Maloney starts the day 20 points clear of the chasing pack, with three 15-lap races on the schedule.

Maloney leads SR3 Cup from newcomer Myers

Mark Maloney of Barbados is the early leader of the Radical Caribbean SR3 Cup (RCC), following two race wins in Monday’s (April 29) opening round at Bushy Park Barbados. While his brother Stuart, the reigning RCC Champion, won the second race, Jamaican newcomer William Myers ended the day second on points, after an impressive three podium finishes on his debut in the regional series for Suzuki-powered Radical SR3s.
